I posted this hike April 2010. Here it is as originally written, except I have changed the parking/trailhead location. Hike will be slightly different

New to hiking? Recovering from surgery? Been away from the trails too long? Graduating rehab? This is the hike for you! Experienced hikers will enjoy it too.

Special Offer if you act now: This one is dog friendly. Bring your favorite canine(s).

With two waterfalls, scenic volcanic outcroppings, a variety of hiking trails, several pleasant picnic areas, and abundant open space, Wildwood park is a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of the nearby city.

We’ll do 5-6? miles with easy-to-moderate elevation gain. We set off to Lizard Rock by way of Mesa Trail and Stagecoach Bluff Trail, then down to the Wildwood Canyon stream. Not far upstream is Paradise Falls. Steps lead down to the pool beneath Paradise Falls, and to a picnic table in the shade of an oak tree. Continuing upstream, there is the tranquil picnic area at Little Falls – another great place to take a break. we return by way of Indian Creek Trail.
